“Single woman. Recorded on Broad Bay School rolls 1910-19. Affected by "turns" which were thought to have been the result of a fall in childhood. She lived with companion Kathleen De Renzie at 38 Papanui Road, Christchurch for many years. In her will Margaret requested that she be buried in the "Northern Dunedin Cemetery as near as possible to my late father Walter John Guthrie". Buried in Block 8 Lot 15-16. (Funeral Director: R. McLean & Son). Left the "residue" of her estate to Knox Church, Dunedin.”
