Notes for Gertrude T. Woodman
“My mother married my father Howard Woodman in 1912. They had three girls (one died at birth) and were happily married for 46 years before my father died at 69 years of age. My mother was 75 years old when she joined him. My sister Elizabeth and I are 62 and 59, respectively [in 1976]. She has four children and thirteen grandchildren. She lives in Clinton Corners, N.Y. She is short in stature, has fair skin, blue eyes, and black hair ... reminds me of my Mom.

“I have one daughter, Carol, and two grandchildren Tara and Laura. To describe myself to you, I’m tall, fair skin, blue-green eyes, brown hair slightly frosted with silver now. My husband’s name is Thomas, he is 65 but not about to retire yet! We have lived in the Merrick area since 1939 and have witnessed the growth of towns and population over the years.

“Our daughter and her husband Kenneth House are both teachers. He is a science teacher at Huntington High School on L.I. She is an art teacher, but at present raising her family. They are well matched!

“I hope this short note was of interest to you, and if I can answer any other questions you might have concerning the Schneegas family, just ask away! I’d be delighted to hear from you.

“Again, many thanks for the message, cousin!”

Fondly, T. Gertrude
