Obituary notes for Helen Kjome
Helen Kjome Muller, 82, of Spring Grove died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2000, at Tweeten Lutheran Health Services in Spring Grove. She was a lifetime Spring Grove area resident.
She was born Dec. 4, 1918, in Spring Grove to John and Regina (Blegen) Kjome. She was a 1936 Spring Grove High School graduate.
On Aug. 2, 1939, she married Carl M. Muller in Spring Grove. She worked at Mansfield Industries, Argus Industries, Quinells General Store and Muller Brothers Meat Market, all in Spring Grove.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove and its women’s groups, the Spring Grove American Legion Auxiliary and the Love Day Quilters Group. She was also an active community volunteer.
She is survived by her husband, of Spring Grove; one son, Robert (Gineanne) Muller of Plymouth, Minn.; one daughter, Sandra (John) Hefte of McFarland, Wis.; four grandchildren, Mark (Ann) Hefte, Leah Hefty, Michael (Jennifer) Muller and Heidi (Brannon) Volkart; one great-grandchild, Grace Hannah Muller; one sister, Elizabeth Ellingson of Spring Grove and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nels, Olaf, and Ralph Kjome, and two sisters, Rosetta Doely and Maria Ekern.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Zane Anderson officiated.
