Obituary notes for Helen Ann Muller
Helen Ann (nee Muller) Holm, 71, of Spring Grove died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at Gundersen-Lutheran in LaCrosse, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was born June 17, 1928, in Spring Grove, to Gustav and Cora L. (Sylling) Muller. She was a lifelong Spring Grove resident. She was a 1946 Spring Grove High School graduate and a 1950 St. Olaf College graduate. 

On July 27, 1952, she married Donald E. Holm in Spring Grove. She was a teacher in Starbuck, Mabel, and later in Spring Grove, Minn. She retired in 1993. She truly enjoyed teaching. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove and its women's organizations. She held lifetime memberships in the MEA and NEA. She was on the board of directors of the Minnesota Council for Social Studies and was very active in community programs.
 
Survivors include her husband; her mother, Cora Muller of Spring Grove; one son, John (Melinda) of Lenexa, Kan.; one daughter, Carol Blagsvedt of LaCrosse and her fiancĂ©, Noel Jordan, also of LaCrosse; and a grandson, Jared Holm. She was preceded in death by her father, a daughter, Mary, in infancy; and one brother, Charles Muller. 

Funeral services were held Friday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove. Burial was in the Trinity Church Cemetery. The Rev. Jim Arends officiated.
