Notes for Edwin Alexander Guthrie
Edwin was brought up in Dunedin. He was educated at MIss Forsyth's School, George Street School (enrolled 2 February 1885)and Otago Boys' High School 1889 - 1892. He worked for the Union Steam Ship Company. Two Marine Department Reports he was involved with are noted in AJHR 1898 and 1901, Section H15. Edwin had several residences in Dunedin including 19 Lynwood Avenue (Electoral Roll 1928) and the corner of Filleul and Cargill Streets (1938).
