“This may be the James Andrew(s) who appears in photographs of Hays and Andrews sent to New Zealand in 1910 signed J.B. Andrews. The originals are held by Bruce Harrison Guthrie of Wanaka, N.Z. in 1999. Don Hutton has copies. It seems highly likely that the photographs were originally sent to Isabella Allan Guthrie nee Graham, James' cousin. The 1851 Census lists James as a "Scholar living at home" (Eglinton Street East, Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland).”
