Obituary notes for Barbara Taylor
Barbara PATTON, a member of the SLIS faculty in the 1980s, died on February 25, 1999 following a long and brave fight against cancer. Barbara graduated with a BA from UNB, an MA from McMaster, an MLS from Indiana University, and an LLB from Dalhousie. She held a number of positions at Dalhousie: cataloguer at the Sir James Dunn Law library, Assistant Professor at SLIS, and Assistant Professor (research and international projects officer) in the School for Resource and Environmental Studies. She was solicitor with the Nova Scotia Dept. of Justice at the time of her death. Barbara is survived by her husband Donald (professor in Dalhousie's School of Business), two daughters, Katherine and Elizabeth, and a son, Andrew.
