Notes for John Bell Andrew
“Francis Andrew and his sons worked as millers for the Wrights and lived as tenants in the house. Following the death of Francis in 1895, John continued to work at Wright's or Belmont Mills in East Royalty, Prince Edward Island, Canada assisted by his brother Fred (a condition of their father's will). In 1898, John Bell Andrew bought the mills and adjoining property, including Belmont House, from Benjamin Wright. The property was registered in 1899. Later, part of the land was given to his son Fred to farm. The house & remaining land was farmed by Wallace Andrew.”
