Notes for Karen Kirstine Jørgensdatter
Karen Kirstine had eight children, including the blind cane-weaver Karl Hansen and Hemming Hansen, Reuben (Jack) Frost’s father.

“Karen Kirstine was the second daughter of Jorgen, and Hans Rasmussen had had his eye on her for a long time. But since her older sister wasn’t married, she couldn’t marry. But by the time Hans’ second wife had died, Karen Kirstine’s older sister had married, so they were able to marry.” [Note: Karen is actually Jorgen’s fourth daughter.]
